Chiante is a highly accomplished registered nurse with more than 26 years of experience evaluating and analyzing patient care across a wide range of healthcare settings. She began her career working with geriatric populations in skilled nursing facilities, sub-acute units, and hospice care. Early on, she advanced into a leadership role as the director of a 120-bed assisted living facility, where she oversaw and managed all aspects of resident care.
In addition to her primary roles, Chiante gained extensive hands-on experience by working registry assignments throughout Southern California. Her clinical background spans multiple specialties, including medical-surgical, telemetry, oncology, emergency services, urgent care, acute inpatient rehabilitation, and detention healthcare, where she provided skilled nursing care to incarcerated individuals. She also has significant experience as a pediatric transplant home health nurse and as a private duty nurse delivering one-on-one care for patients with complex needs.
Chiante brings substantial expertise in the insurance and regulatory sectors, having worked within a workers’ compensation firm and a top-tier health insurance company. Through these roles, she developed in-depth knowledge of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines and compliance standards. Her longstanding interest in the intersection of healthcare and law led her to pursue certification in Legal Nurse Consulting through California State University, Long Beach, and the Vicki Milazzo Institute.
She began her legal consulting career as a subcontractor attending defense medical examinations and, recognizing the value of her services, went on to establish her own legal nurse consulting firm. To date, Chiante has attended over 2,000 defense medical exams, gaining extensive exposure to a wide variety of clinical and legal scenarios.
